“A violent man enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good.”
— Proverbs 16:29 (KJV)

Scripture is clear: there is nothing good to be gained by following the lead of a violent man. His path does not lead to safety, healing, or righteousness—it leads only to destruction.
In our world, men who take advantage of women, children, and vulnerable men are too often called “strong.” They are praised for dominance, feared for their control, or excused because of power. But the Bible reminds us that this is false strength. True strength is not in the fist, the threat, or the manipulation.
We need people who are compassionate and empathetic. Those who carry out justice when it is needed, but who refuse to entice others into wrongdoing. Godly strength lifts others up, it does not drag them down.
For Our Daily Walk
- Don’t be misled by those who parade violence as power.
- Teach children that strength looks like protection, not exploitation.
- Remember: to follow violent men is to learn their ways and risk our very souls.
Reflection Prayer
Lord, keep me from the path of violent men. Give me the courage to walk with the compassionate, the just, and the merciful. Help me to lead by empathy, not by harm. May my life entice others toward good, never toward destruction.
