Scripture: “But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” – Amos 5:24

Reflection:
Some people treat justice like it’s a side project in the Christian life—something nice if you have time, but not essential. Yet Scripture paints a different picture. From the prophets to the teachings of Jesus, justice is not an add-on; it’s at the very heart of God’s character.
Why? Because injustice wounds the very people God treasures most—the poor, the vulnerable, the overlooked. When we ignore justice, we ignore their cries. And when we ignore their cries, we ignore God Himself.
To leave justice out is to leave love incomplete. Love without justice becomes sentimental but powerless. Justice without love becomes harsh and cold. But together—justice and love reflect the fullness of God’s heart.
Encouragement:
Justice matters to God because people matter to God. Every time you stand for what is right, defend the vulnerable, or tell the truth even when it costs you—you are walking in step with His Spirit.
Prayer:
Lord, open my eyes to injustice, not so I can despair, but so I can act with courage and compassion. Help me never to separate Your love from Your justice. Amen.
