Being Slandered Is Not New-It’s Biblical

When an abuse victim gathers the courage to leave, abusers often turn to slander. Lies, distortions, and false accusations become weapons meant to isolate the victim from their community, discredit their testimony, and weaken their resolve. But Scripture reminds us: “No weapon formed against you shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17). Their words may sting, but they cannot erase the truth. God sees, God knows, and God stands with the one who chooses freedom and life.

Being slandered isn’t new—it’s biblical.
The challenge isn’t avoiding it.
The challenge is choosing faith over fury.

They’ll twist your name.
They’ll throw stones.
They’ll whisper lies.
But truth has never needed a crowd to stand tall.

Slander stings.
But it doesn’t define.
The cross proves that false words can’t kill eternal truth.
What verse do you hold onto when people talk behind your back?

When people lie about you, remember: even Jesus was slandered. Yet truth outlasts every rumor. Stay steady. Stay faithful. Their words can’t cancel your calling.
