Reflection
There is a sacred sorrow that settles in when the people you love laugh at your warnings. Lot knew that pain. He pleaded with his sons-in-law to leave Sodom because danger was near — but they thought he was joking.
Beloved, hear this: if others scoff when you say, “This is not safe,” it does not mean you are mistaken. It means you see what they refuse to see. Wisdom often sounds strange to those still comfortable in danger.
Some will roll their eyes when women like us speak of risk. Some will mock. Some will minimize. But heaven honors the woman who rises, gathers her strength, and leads herself — and her children — to higher ground, even when she must walk that road alone.
Safety is not disobedience. It is discernment. And discernment is one of God’s greatest gifts.
Prayer / Affirmation
Lord, grant me clarity like You gave Lot.
When it’s time to move, make me brave enough to go.
When others don’t believe, steady my heart in Your truth.
Teach me that obedience to safety is obedience to You.
Lead me, O God, to higher ground — and keep me there in peace.
